The Picturehouse Pictures Of The Year Awards 2025

This year we screened 199 comedies, dramas, animations, music videos, visual art, tone poems, horrors and more! The People's Pictures of the Year are a chance for our filmmakers to nominate their work in a number of categories! Nominations are now open and completely free of charge. Any work screened at the Picturehouse from August 2024 to July 2025 is eligible.

Nominations close on Friday 8th of August. The films will then be judged, not by a selected jury, but by the Picturehouse community itself - any filmmaker who has screened their work with us is eligible to vote and will receive an invitation via email shortly!

Voting Process:

Through FilmFreeway, the awards will be decided by all filmmakers who have screened a film in the last two years. The voting system will be that each submitter will be able to view all the nominees of each category. You will then be able to rank and pick ONE film that should win in its category. All votes will be tallied and the winners will be announced at our August Showcase.
